    4th Annual Turkey Trot

The Turkey Trot is one of the largest Thanksgiving Day events around the country. It is one of the most fun ways To Begin Thanksgiving Day. The 2.4 Mile Turkey Trot around the Loop and our 1 Mile or 2.4 Mile Gobbler Family Fun Walk is designed to accommodate everyone. On-site registration in the rear of the Park begins at 7:30am. $15 per person till 11/20, $20 per person after 11/20, Children under 12 FREE.

    Tree Lighting Ceremony & Flotilla Holiday Party

Kick off the holiday season Wrightsville Beach style. Our tree lighting ceremony begins the weekend-long yuletide festivities at Town Hall at 5:45pm. Bring your children to see Santa, Mrs. Claus and the elves and then scoot around the corner for dancing and good times at the Flotilla Holiday Party at the Blockade Runner, 7pm .     Enchanted Airlie

Beginning in late November, every Thursday, Friday and Saturday, the classic southern landscape of Airlie Gardens is alive with the magic of the holiday season. More than 13 acres of illuminated gardens, live entertainment and refreshments guarantee you’ll enjoy the seasonal spirit under the stars. There are two show times per evening beginning at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. Advanced tickets are required. $5 adults; $4 children 4-12. Call 910.798.7700 or visit the web site for details.

    Festival in the Park

Continue to celebrate the season at our annual Holiday Flotilla Festival in the Park. With an Arts & Crafts Show, performing artists, children’s rides, antique auto show entertainment, amusements, and over 80 vendors, there’s sure to be something for everyone.     NC Holiday Flotilla, 25th Annual

A tradition at Wrightsville Beach, this spectacular parade features 30-50 illuminated boats and a captivating fireworks display to celebrate their 25th anniversary.     Surf-Sun-Sand Volleyball & Bocce Ball Tournament

Wrightsville Beach Parks and Recreation is hosting the Annual Surf-Sun-Sand Volleyball & Bocce Ball Tournament. This six or four-person co-ed volleyball tournament has divisions for skill levels including Novice and Intermediate. Pre-registration is required.     31st Anuual YMCA Triathlon

The biggest race in the NCTS, and the largest from Washington DC to Florida. This race starts out with a 1,500 meter swim, the bike course is one loop that takes participants over the Wrightsville Beach drawbridge and onto the mainland and the 5K run course is a one-loop design and also flat. The run takes place on the very popular "loop" at Wrightsville Beach Call 910.251.9622 ext 224.
